Account & Data Deletion

Learn how to permanently erase your National Mosque app account, worship progress, and personal information, or submit a web request below.

Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)

If you have the mobile app installed, you can delete your account instantly without waiting:

  1. Open the National Mosque mobile app on your phone.
  2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap the Settings (Gear icon) in the top-right corner.
  4. Scroll down and select Privacy & Security.
  5. Tap "Delete Account" in red.
  6. Review the confirmation dialog, enter your account password (or biometric prompt), and tap "Permanently Delete".

✓ Your credentials and profile will be wiped immediately from our live database.

Method 2: Web Portal Request

If you have uninstalled the app or lost your mobile device, submit the form below or email our privacy team directly:

  1. Fill out the verified deletion request form below with your registered account email.
  2. Confirm your acknowledgement that deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  3. A verification link or email token will be sent to your inbox to confirm ownership.
  4. Once verified, all your data will be permanently purged within seven (7) business days.

What Data Is Erased vs. Retained

Data That Is Permanently Erased:

  • Profile Information: Your registered email address, display name, profile photo, and demographic location settings.
  • Worship Streaks & History: All daily prayer checkmarks, habit tracker counts, and Qur'an reading minute logs.
  • Qur'anic Bookmarks & Notes: All saved verses, reading bookmarks, and recitation practice attempts.
  • Authentication Credentials: Supabase user identity tokens, Google/Apple OAuth session IDs, and active device push tokens.
  • Community Sign-Ups: Volunteer sign-ups and attendance records.
Statutory Exception (Financial Audit Records):
If you contributed charitable donations (Zakat/Sadaqah) through Paystack, Nigerian financial regulations, non-profit statutory accounting requirements, and anti-money laundering (AML) laws mandate that the National Mosque retain transactional ledger records (date, reference number, amount, and donation cause) for statutory audit periods. These ledger entries do not contain credit card details and cannot be used for any marketing or non-accounting purposes.
